The Fourth Conference of the Armenian-French Decentralized Cooperation was held in Yerevan on December 1-2, 2016.
The event was organized by Cités-Unies France (CUF) and the Union of Communities of Armenia. It gathered the high-level representatives from several dozen local authorities of Armenia and France.
Opening remarks were delivered by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Edward Nalbandyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Development of Armenia, Mr. Davit Lokyan; the Mayor of Yerevan, Mr. Taron Margaryan, the French Ambassador, Mr. Jean-François Charpentier.
Simultaneously, the decentralized cooperation, which was established between counries 50 years ago. By now joint programs are being implemented in the fields of tourism, agriculture, education, culture, healthcare and other within the framework of more than 70 agreements signed between the Armenian and French cities and regions.
Workshop session was held on the very first day where Wine Industry of Armenia was presented by the Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia.
The delegation of the Conference participants visited Wine Academy on December 2nd and got introduced with its projects, educational programs and laboratory.
After the visit, they enjoyed Armenian wine and tasted the wines awarded as winners in the recent International Competitions. The tasting was arranged by the Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia in collaboration with Eko Tavush LLC and hosted by Voskevaz winery. Wines of "Armenia Wine Factory", "Golden Grape ArmAs", "VanSevan", "Voskevaz", "VanArdi" were presented during the tasting.
